Lots of stuff in the Member Minutes this month!
Let’s begin with news on Nicole Wright of TPS.
From Nicole:
“I just competed in the USAPL Powerlifting Liberty Games in New York. I weighed in at 55.5kg/122 pounds and went 9 for 9. My coach and I were somewhat conservative as I’m just coming back from an injury a few weeks ago, but I’m happy I was still able to get some meet PRs!
I ended with 248/132/325 for a 705 total at 122lbs.
I’m officially qualified for nationals and will begin training for it ASAP (at TPS of course!)“
Great job Nicole and we wish you the best at Nationals!
New PRO at TPS
TPS’s own Nick “Catz” Cambi just competed in Pennsylvania and earned his Middleweight Pro Card in Strongman!
I remember telling Nick when he first began training here that he was going places in this sport and that wining was his for the taking. I can’t tell you how proud I am that Nick has turned Pro.
He is one of the hardest training athletes I know and he worked his ass off for this. Nick is not sitting back and gloating.
He is competing in the TPS Strongman contest in the Amateur Heavyweight division, even though he is giving up a few pounds.
Nick can win this division. That will qualify him to compete at Nationals for a chance to earn a Heavyweight Pro card as well.
You better start eating Nick.
More stuff
We’ve got quite a few people lifting in Weightlifting and Powerlifting meets but I have not received all of the details as of this writing. Team TPS is also prepping for the TPS/RPS meet in October.
We’ll have a full meet report for that for you all too.
